Southern Gal Biscuits

Southern Gal Biscuits

Mix dry ingredients:

2 c. flour

2 Tbsp. white sugar

½ tsp. salt

4 tsp. Baking Powder

½ tsp. Cream of Tartar

Stir with fork- ½ c. shortening into flour mixture until

crumbly.

*********************************************************************

Add and stir together with a spoon until all ingredients are

mixed in.

1 egg

2/3 c. milk

*********************************************************************

Drop onto baking sheet by large spoonfuls.

Bake 450* for 8-10 minutes.

*********************************************************************

To make a cut out biscuit- reduce milk to 1/3.

Stir until a stiff dough.

Knead by hand 5 times.

Roll out to 1/2” thick on a floured cupboard top.

Cut into shapes and bake as above.
