Friend Makin Monday -Sept 21

Amber, over at ae filkins is hosting "Friend Makin Moindays" and asked this question today-

So how about you? Craigslist: do you love it or hate it? 
Do you use Craigslist?
What have your experiences been? Good or bad?
What was the best thing you've ever bought?
What was the best deal you ever sold? 

We really haven't had much luck with selling on Craigslist.org. We have listed lots of great deals and had some really stupid responses. We tried to re-home our puppy on CL and were flagged many times by 'rescues' and  backyard breeders that charged high fees for their pets. We ended up having to send the pup to a local no-kill shelter because we couldn't keep our ad on CL.

We have yet to buy off Craigslist because we are still trying to pare down the house and not add to it.

We did look into buying bunk beds off CL and we learned quickly pictures are deceiving. :(

The best deal we ever sold was our refrigerator. We bought our home 3 yrs ago and it came with a pretty new fridge but we had our own new side-by-side. There was no way to keep both due to limited space. We listed it for $300 and it was sold and picked up that night by some college boys.

Now if you ask my friends then CL is the BEST! They are constantly buying and selling on our local list and finding some awesome deals and treasures.  Gives me hope that when we are ready to go looking for something CL is a good place to start.
