She is wise beyond her years

My good IRL friend Heather has been begging me to read her blog this week and now I see why. WOW! That girl has some good insight on spiritual warfare that I am just now learning...and I am a good bit older than her :) Slow learner, yep, that is me!

Please stop by her blog and enjoy her writings.

Praise the Lord!

I have been feeling really rotten lately.
My attitude is lousy.
I am coveting + HPTs.
I am not as grateful as I should be over my surgery. I am thankful for having the surgery and for how much better I feel...but it just doesn't seem 'enough' and I can not explain it.
I am avoiding the children like the plague since the lice mess.
My house is just a shambles...clean but not organized and several projects undone.

I confessed the other night to Hubby.
I laid my head on his lap and just let it all out and cried.

I was completely surprised when he said he thinks I am being convicted and he is too! We talked for a long time about what has been happening in our lives lately. He confessed since becoming a Christian he has not sought to grow. It really hit home when the first ever tithe was put in and that week he received a 'bonus' of 10 fold of the tithe! And for weeks his accountability group has been pushing him to grow in the Lord and to TRUST GOD COMPLETELY IN ALL WAYS.

At church last Sunday night God really got Hubby's heart.

During our talk he laid out things that we are changing.
Starting with reading the Bible every morning TOGETHER!
We are also going to read it to the children at night.
Starting a home Bible study too.
Doing Bible reading on the phone at night while he is out of town.

The biggest thing he is changing is giving everything to the Lord.
money
house
dc
FUTURE dc
our wholes lives
EVERYTHING!!

He said he thinks God is not blessing us because we have some things to change and it is not God's time yet for us to be blessed. I am in shock! Monday morning he had set his alarm for 10 min early...we got up together and read Genesis for 10 min and discussed it. AWESOME!! He hasn't woke me up the other days as I am having trouble getting to sleep and his wake up time seems to be right after I finally get shut eye.

I am rambling now
I am so happy!

For Hubby... I love you!

April showers bring May flowers

This little Sweet William has bloomed most of the winter

Purple and yellow Iris

My mums are so confused with all the rain and cool temps.
These are in a pot and have been blooming up a storm.
The ones in the ground are right behind them.
That is Hardy Ground Cover Ivy peeking through.

This is Purple Autumn Sage.
It looks scraggly because I had to move it this year
when it got too big for its area.
It is coming back nicely.

Hardy Lantana.
This is one of 2 plants that I did not manage to kill out of 12.
So far it is the only one blooming.
Last year it was 4 ft across and almost as tall!

These are Yellow Iris from my late Grandfather's yard.
The bulbs are over 20 yrs old and have moved with the family.

This is a stunning colored iris that suprised me this year.
The picture does not do justice to the deep wine color.
So glad I stopped to snap the pic that day as it was gone the next.

That is some of the plants in my yard. With all the rain I have more flowers than ever!
If it stops raining I will get pictures of the roses out on the side yard.
I also have ferns growing rapidly in this weather that are a beautiful bronze and green.

Day in the bluebonnets

Peanut and Princess didn't
want to sit in the very itchy flowers
and numerous ant dens.
Who could blame them!

Bub and Peanut finding ladybugs

Peanut is looking way to grown up at 10 and a half!
Bub stopping to smell the flowers and search
for more ladybugs.

Princess would not smile because she had
a loose tooth.

Princess, Peanut and Bub staring at the bee
that was buzzing me.
Time to leave the bluebonnets!
