new to me

Going through the Shabby Nest Frugal Friday (from last March) I stumbled on this blog.

She has lots of good info on well stocked pantries, menu planning, homeschooling and more. I hope you check out her site :)

what do you think?

I saw this at my friend Chas' blog and just had to share. I know so many people that justify reading the books and watching these movies because it "has Christian under tones". WAKE UP!

school time :)

Tonight we snagged Switched on School House level 6 (complete 5 subjects) on Ebay.

Subtotal:US $165.00
Shipping & handling:US $5.00
Total:US $170.00

That is well over half off sticker price!
OH YEAH!

The seller said it will ship tomorrow. Oh, happy day! We will pick up SOS level 4 (complete 5 subjects) from a friend this week. Throw in Robinson Curriculum for penmanship and "free reading" to round things off nicely for the girls and get the boy started in his McGuffy readers for K-4.

School year 2010-2011 should start in a week :) The girls will begin lessons for bass trombone and clarinet in Beginner's Band at TAFA. Peanut's playing volleyball for a local Christian school that opened its doors to homeschoolers this week. She is loving v-ball so far but thinks it is far harder than being a green belt in karate. LOL! Her first game is in 2 weeks. AWANA and youth at church start soon as well.

Summer is winding down finally and the house should be less chaotic...I hope

Ahh schedules how I loathe thee and love thee
