Winter comes to North Texas.

We got home from our vacation last night with a cold front on our heals.

Today I woke up to a nice cold drizzle that quickly changed to sleat.

Now the trees are heavy with ice and the town next to us has lost power due to lines breaking.
I know it is nothing like y'all up north get but hey, this is WINTER to us. Time to shut down the schools and watch all the crazies wreck on the highway cause they are doing 100 mph and slamming on their brakes over the bridges.

Here are some pics I snapped driving home.

Enjoy :)

my back fence and crepe myrtle tree

the corner near my house. the branches are really bending under the weight!

the highway coming into town.
the hills are almost white though my camera
does not pick it up

ignore the year. I don't update it when I change batteries. :)
