Hi there! Thanks for commenting on my armoire makeover. Now, to answer your question: I actually mixed up my own french grey colour using a combo of acrylic wall and craft paint. I don't reckon it matters too much what colour you use as your wash, as long as you like it (and it's only paint so you can just go over it again with a different shade if you don't like it!).
