i just wanted to say thank you. this was a perspective i had never thought of. honestly, i have never read your blog, but i saw a link to it on a friend's FB page and decided to check it out. while i battle with my own spirituality and my own sense of self, this gave insight from a guy's point of view and made me rethink a few things. thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank You for posting this! I love the message. My daughter was just telling me the pressures and comments she gets from kids at school because she dresses modestly and she is only 10. She told me she felt like Rudolph and I said "The Reindeer?" and she said "yes in the story no one let him join in any of their stuff because he was not just like them. Then Santa had a greater plan for him, like God does for me! I smiled and the tears started flowing and I said "That's right baby!"

ReplyDeleteLeigh Ann, I have 12.6 and a 10 (on SATURDAY!) yr girls and it is so hard to keep them from being tempted by fashion trends that are immodest because they see it in church and think tha makes it ok. :( After watcching thiis though I know we need to focus on the heart too just the hem line!
