I need decorating help

I need to put up window treatments in my oldest daughter's new room.  And I am clueless on what to do! If you saw my house you would notice that the majority of windows are naked. Unless you count dropclothes just hung with ring clips and some mismatched curtains in the master bedroom for light control. I hate doing curtains.
They scare me!

The issues-

• preteen girl who puffy heart loves WILD and CRAZY colors/prints just to annoy me show her creative side
• north and west sun
• busy street views so privacy is a must!
• I can't sew
• LOW budget
• corner windows

Now I will go cringe in the corner while I show pics of the windows
